She's Italian, she's 28, she's 1m63, she's a wonderful tennis player, she'll be playing in her first Wimbledon final tomorrow, and she's all smiles! Her happiness warmed my heart during the Roland Garros tournament a month ago (where she reached the final), and now she's within touching distance of her first Grand Slam title, this time on English grass! Jasmine Paolini is radiant and her zest for life is contagious! For her sake, I have asked my body to lower all my immune defenses! Let's smile!
How can you not smile as you stroll through the pages of Scribe? You might think I'm not very objective when I write this, since this is the publication I created. But look closer and you'll see that I'm not the only writer here. So when I say this, it's mainly to draw attention to the writers who write alongside me. We're already about a dozen very active writers (listed here at the bottom of the page), and everything I've read so far has made me smile and look forward to some colorful days ahead!
Don't believe me? Take a look at the publication's home page or browse the latest pieces published in Scribe from the mobile app! Take a look at the publication's Notes, from the dedicated tab on the Scribe home page or from the mobile app. In fact, I invite you to read the two posts below to learn all about this incredible feature.
What I particularly love with Notes is the ability to highlight a passage in a story or poem that we particularly like and turn it into a note to share with our community and Substack readers. It's easy to do, from the computer or the mobile app, and the design is beautiful! Here's an example from
's latest essay:In this example, I have not added a message to accompany the note, but it is of course possible to do so, to add a comment or a special thought. I think this Notes feature is an excellent way to make our voices heard and encourage discussion among us. Let's make the most of it!
Our literary salon has also opened its doors, and it's the perfect place to join our community and chat with the publication's authors. There are many surprises in store, so don't hesitate to drop us a line!
Want another reason to smile? The first issue of the Sunday newsletter, Papyrus, arrived in your mailboxes last Sunday! It's here if you missed it. Don't hesitate to send me your feedback, which will help me improve and refine it over time, so that you'll enjoy reading it even more!
And you, did you get a chance to smile today? If so, let me know in the comments and let's smile together! It'll always be another good moment in our day.
Thanks for reading and see you soon!
