four poster persimmon bed
beckoning skylight
upward and beyond
rise into forever blue
lifted up from purple slumbers
like a roving restless mist
rise into the trembling night
breathing in the darkening light
shadows nudged along by moonbeams
trees shine as stars in forest skies
encased in ice of frost and glitter
and topped with sparkling boughs of snow
gliding on bright mountain slopes
the pressure of the light will carry us
high above the mountain soaring
closer to the moon we go
air frozen in silent stillness
we walk pale pastures of the moon
where horses of light flash and play
on a rolling range of saffron sage
the silence and the night are with us
across the hills of mounded snow
the touchstone of our time together
the world as we had always dreamed
soft and silent, light and free
the place where we were meant to be
