drawn so tightly within, poised

of Unknowing, destined
yet knock-kneed as you brace
to confess your truth,
coaxing us
to uncover our igniting own.
Resurrecting
after Winter’s harsh pruning,
bare roots unleashed
by Mother
Earth, beckoned by
Father
Sky to become
a peony, or perhaps
even a tulip
or sunflower, or silver lining
shimmering.
A star.
A poem inspired by an article that discussed how physicists detected light emitted from mice (and plants). But when the mice died, no more light.
