I’ve been deeply immersed in writing and editing new poetry lately, so I don’t have any new pieces to share at the moment. However, I didn’t want more than a week to go by without sharing something with the group. So, I decided to post a special video instead.
During the pandemic, when most offices closed and transitioned to remote work, we did our best to keep team members engaged and maintain the sense of community we had worked so hard to foster. With people spending more time at home and restaurant services limited, we decided to start Zoom cooking classes. They became an immediate hit.
I enlisted the help of my brother Daniel (a self-proclaimed 3-star Michelin chef), with whom I share a special bond, and we filmed a few live cooking classes showcasing some of my mother’s favorite recipes. Then, an opportunity arose to take the show on the road. Who better to teach a cooking class than the master chef herself, my mom?
